FAQs

  • Therapy offers many benefits, whether it’s short or long term. My aim is to help you feel better and support you in creating a more authentic life by letting go of what doesn’t help you anymore. Many clients work with me for a few years, and we usually start with weekly sessions. When you’re ready, we can switch to bi-weekly sessions. I’m dedicated to doing the challenging work with you while providing relief from past pain. Sometimes sessions are intense; other times, we celebrate your achievements. I offer a personalized approach for each person I work with. I also see men and couples. If you think I might be a good match for you, feel free to reach out!

  • I operate a private pay practice. In my trauma work, I've noticed that insurance often complicates things with strict session limits. Insurance tends to focus more on diagnoses and the number of sessions rather than a person's emotional health. In trauma therapy, I aim to address the root issues without labeling people based on symptoms like depression or anxiety. Many clients I work with have complex trauma, which lacks a specific diagnosis for insurance. This often leads to me giving a diagnosis based on their symptoms, which can linger in their medical records.

Emotional consent in a therapeutic relationship means clients have full autonomy and complete privacy. I’ve seen significant improvements in these clients. I recognize that using my services can be a financial privilege, and not everyone can afford it. I keep a small caseload to ensure high-quality care. If needed, I can provide referrals for insurance options. My goal is to support individuals in whatever way they need to enhance their quality of life.

  • I work with individuals ages 18+.

The self pay fee is $250/ 60 minute session or $325/90 minute session.

Intensives are available on a limited basis.

FSA and HSA cards are acceptable. I acknowledge that self payment is not accessible to everyone.

If you’d like to utilize out of network benefits with your insurance, I can provide a superbill you can submit to them.

Notice: A Good Faith Estimate statement is available at anytime on request.

  • The first step is a free 30-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit. Finding a therapist is like online dating; you get a feel for the connection during our call. I’ll learn about you, and you’ll get to know me. If it feels right, you'll complete the necessary forms and set up your first session. I offer online sessions in Pennsylvania and my schedule fills up fast. I’m available Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 1 PM and Saturday 8am-12pm.

  • I offer walk and taik therapy to local residents in therapy. We meet on a trail and spend our session in nature. These are a wonderful and have many benefits.

For residents further away, we can do them by phone, if you are comfortable. Ask me about this option and if it's right for you.

Walk and Talks are not for everyone. It is case dependent and what the needs are for each individual. I am happy to talk about them once we are established in therapy.

  • I offer EMDR intensives that include IFS, somatic therapy, and walk-and-talk sessions. These intensives can last a full day, several days, or a week and are tailored to each client. If you're out of state, you can travel to Pennsylvania, where I'm licensed. This option is great for those feeling overwhelmed and struggling to commit to weekly sessions. Intensives allow time to process what we work on before returning to everyday life. Some clients prefer this option and can use it as often as needed throughout the year.
